Micro-Star International has announced a new model in its Wind PC line — the MSI Wind Box. It’s a thin, lightweight PC that you can attach to any display screen.

The WindBOX is an Atom-based PC geared towards thin clients, POS and digital signage.

The “WindBox” is a low-cost, Asus Eee Box rivalling desktop PC – or nettop as these machines are increasingly being labelled – with a fairly unique twist.

The Windbox is designed to be VESA-mounted to the back of your monitor, saving desk space and giving you a kind of DIY all-in-one, presumably for those who don’t fancy the Neton.

The PC will boast the Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB or 2GB of RAM, and either 160GB or 250GB hard drive. It will get three USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet, b/g Wi-Fi b/g and will run Windows XP.
